Prof. dr hab. Janusz Filipiak Founder, President and CEO of Comarch

Janusz Filipiak was born in 1952, graduated from the Krakow AGH Technical University in 1976, and received a title of Professor in 1991. Janusz Filipiak worked within the field of advanced technologies for nearly forty years. In the eighties he conducted research at the CNET France Telecom laboratories in Paris. He was Acting Director of the Teletraffic Research Centre at the University of Adelaide in Australia. He worked in laboratories in the USA and Canada. Professor Filipiak has written more than one hundred papers on data communication published in the IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, Operations Research, and other journals known worldwide. He published six books, including Modelling and Control of Dynamic Flows in Communications Networks, Springer-Verlag 1988, and Real Time Network Management, North Holland 1991. He was also the editor of Telecommunication Services for Developing Economies, Elsevier 1991 and other journals. In 1993 Janusz Filipiak founded Comarch, a software company, which today employs over five thousand people in over twenty countries. In 2012 the Professor was awarded the prestigious IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Industry Leader Award for his remarkable contribution to the development of the communications industry and information technologies.

Andrzej Przewięźlikowski Vice President, Director of Financial Services Division

Andrzej has an Engineering MBA and a Master’s Degree in IT, he has been working at Comarch since 1998 – starting as a programmer and system designer. In 2003, he moved to the US where he worked as a solution manager – building BSS/OSS solutions for customers in both North and Latin America. Armed with the market knowledge he gathered during that period, he returned to Poland to work as product manager in the Telecommunications sector in the areas of real-time service control systems, business process management and self-service solutions. In 2005, he became a manager of Comarch’s Strategic Research Center, where his main role was to create visions of new market areas and products, and coordinate Comarch’s participation in research projects. Since 2006, he has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer of Comarch SA At the end of 2007, he decided to move closer to the business side of IT and joined the Loyalty & Airlines Systems group in Comarch – taking the position of Application Consulting Director and transformed the organization to offer a wider range of products. Since 2015 Director of Financial Services Division and Management Board Member Comarch SA.

Adam Walendziewski Digital Platforms Agile Centre Director ING Bank Śląski

Adam Walendziewski has been heading the Agile Centre (Tribe) responsible for Digital Platforms since June 2017. In this role he is responsible for the development of the main internet banking platform for SME/MC/Wholesale customers: ING Business. He runs the Agile Tribe consisting of 8 squads, constantly delivering new features to the internet and mobile applications targeting business customers. He is focused on creating customer-oriented electronic banking solutions with great UX

Dr. Marcus Hacke Founder & Managing Director ngena GmbH

Marcus developed the idea and concept for ngena and is the Managing Director of ngena since its foundation in February 2016. He has worked for T-Systems since 2004, holding several managerial positions in Sales, Delivery and Product Management. In these roles, his responsibilities included global provisioning and operations of telecommunications solutions as well as the development of a global IT portfolio. Before joining T-Systems, Marcus spent seven years as a business consultant with McKinsey & Company, focusing on the IT and telecommunications industries. He holds a doctorate in physics.

Wojciech Martyniak Iot Product Manager, Comarch

M2M Product Manager working last 10 years in Comarch, working before also as Senior Solution Manager for the whole IoT area, was a leading architect for Comarch M2M projects in Europe and Middle East, focused on new technologies, new services in the IoT world, connected world and also a convergent approach to m2m services which are composed not only of connectivity but also from devices and applications. Responsible also for partnerships in the IoT sector.

Dariusz Pawlak Quality and Process Director at Technology Department, Netia

20 years of experience in telecommunication industry, particularly in delivery and service maintenance area. Most of professional life connected with GTS with responsibility for, among others, building and running International Network Operation Center. Last 3 years responsible for transformation program in Netia. Currently working as a Quality and Process Director in Netia’s Technology Department.

Bartosz Demczuk Country Manager

Bartosz Demczuk who is a Master of Science in Economics (Specialization in International Relations) has been working at Comarch since 2007. Before joining Comarch he worked in Ahold as a project manager building the first EDI platform in Poland. He was also responsible for key company projects in areas of logistics, commerce and accounting. Having gained substantial retail background and business experience after 5 years he decided to join Comarch, where he became a Solution Manager responsible for EDI solution for corporate customers. In 2007 he decided to move to the Loyalty & Airlines Systems group in Comarch where he took the position of Senior Manager. He was responsible for building comprehensive loyalty solutions for customers from banking, retail, telco and petrol industry, mostly in the CEE, DACH and Russian market. Since 2013 he is a Business Unit Director responsible for Comarch Middle East.

Aftab Alam Director, Marketing Automation & Data Strategy, True Value Company

Aftab leads Enterprise Data Strategy and Marketing Technology Automation for True Value, focusing on application and data integration, and data engineering. Aftab and his team are responsible for managing True Value loyalty system and campaign management systems. His responsibilities also include setting strategic direction for True Value marketing technology platforms and data management. Prior to True Value, Aftab served as a principal architect for technology innovation group at Sears Corporation. There he was responsible for implementing big data strategy, customer segmentation platform, sentiment analytics and targeted interaction capabilities.

Dominik Pacewicz Head of BSS Product Management, Comarch

Passionate in searching for opportunities to simplify and automate all kinds of day-to-day activities of a telecom operator. Being customer-focused, he builds the vision behind the whole Comarch BSS stack and supervises its realization. As an experienced architect, he’s also actively supporting the most complex transformation projects for some of Comarch’s key BSS customers. Thanks to his great capability to seamlessly switch between the language of business and IT, he’s very successful in bridging the gaps and finding great compromises combining the interests of all levels of a telecom organization.

Łukasz Słoniewski Consulting Director Europe, Comarch

Consulting Director at Comarch, for last 10 years helping the Clients to design the best loyalty proposition for their Clients with the use of latest available technology. Engaged in designing the business & IT solutions for loyalty programs of Ford, Auchan, BP, Coca-Cola and many others. Big fan of video games and thus a promoter of using gamification techniques within the loyalty and motivation schemes.

Małgorzata Moderacka Product Manager Digital Insurance, Comarch

Product Manager of Comarch Digital Insurance for 3 years, focused on expanding the insurance front-office solution with great user experience and omnichannel customer journey build in. On a daily basis she cooperates with the R&D team, UX specialists, implementation, consultants, account managers, marketing and analytics companies, which allows her to gain requirements and experiences from many different areas and business perspectives. Małgorzata has a Master's degree in Economics and Management. She completed Business Analyst postgraduate studies. After works she likes watching movies and series. Skiing is her favourite sport.

Piotr Piskorski Chief Technology Officer, Luminor Bank AB

Piotr is responsible for defining the strategic business and technology architectures and overseeing of strategic projects and programs portfolio. He is also leading IT transformation and migration for banks’ merger programme in Baltic countries. Over the last 10 years, he has acted in the capacity of both IT Management and Architecture performing different assignments such as definition of Enterprise Architectures utilising TOGAF framework, formulation of Information Technology Roadmaps or developing and maintaining digital strategy. Piotr was directing all phases of the new banking system implementation programme, from idea phase to post-implementation support and managing complex IT infrastructure transformations to meet the technical and business requirements. He’s also responsible of managing technology innovation centre (including banking trends tracking and technology radar).Piotr Piskorski was a technical leader, project manager, IT portfolio manager, head of IT services and operations for different industries. His specialities include in particular: business transformation based on enterprise architecture, IT outsourcing, innovation driven enterprises, business value management and strategic planning in turbulent times. He is Agile, ITIL, Business Architecture, TOGAF certified. Piotr is a frequent speaker at banking innovation conferences and seminars.

Teran Pasindu Dharmasiri Head of Transaction Banking and Cash Management, Union Bank of Colombo

Teran Pasindu Dharmasiri is a digital, transaction banking / cash management specialist. He has held key positions in the transaction banking and cash management domains as well as in global trade services and IT in both global such as: Standard Chartered as well as in Sri Lankan local banks. Currently, Teran Pasindu heading the transaction banking and cash management at the Union Bank of Colombo, Sri Lanka. In this role, he founded the first cash maangement value proposition among Sri Lankan local banks and eventually launched a fully fledged Payment and Cash management (PCM) channel led product proposition as the first local bank to have succesfully rolled out an end to end PCM solution with a time to market of 08 months. Further, this development marked the first PCM channel among the local banks to adopt and offer, a wide array of payment types with ease of customization with a local sense by adopting real time electronic payment modes, Open API and Host2Host, multiple onsite cheque printing with multi lingual covernotes and advices and also to have offered bio metrics together with risk base push authentication. His main focus is to combine retail digital banking space with wholesale banking - transaction banking and cash management thus, enabling clients to enjoy end to end value chain regardless of the client segments.

Sidney Dunn Consulting Director, North & South America, Comarch

Sidney Dunn currently works as the Director of Loyalty in the Americas Region for Comarch. In 2013, he joined Comarch in their first Latin American office as a Business Solutions Manager in CRM & Marketing, and has since relocated to New York City and is working directly with some of the most well-known retail, financial and FMCG companies in Latin America, United States, and Canada to implement and improve their loyalty, engagement, and marketing programs. Prior to working at Comarch, he began his professional career as an Analyst at Rocaton Investment Advisors, a major investment firm, located in Connecticut, USA. In 2011, based in Santiago, Chile, he led the International Sales team at GlobalShopex, an e-commerce company. In 2008, Sidney obtained his bachelor´s degree in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the United States.

Piotr Kozlowski Consulting Director

Piotr Kozlowski is an airline/travel loyalty and marketing specialist. He graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow with a master’s degree in Business Management (major: tourism management). Furthermore, he completed an airline industry training at the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef – Bonn. Moreover, he obtained a number of IATA professional certificates. He started his carrier in aviation in ground handling company at Krakow Airport. It has been followed by a number of assignments at Lufthansa Consulting GmbH in Cologne and Frankfurt/Main. Between 2009 and 2012 he has been working as an aviation development consultant for an airport start-up project in Poland and in April 2012 he became a Business Solution Manager at Comarch, where he was responsible for loyalty and CRM products for travel industry. Currently he is acting as Vice President of Consulting Division at Comarch – Services Sector, with the key focus on travel loyalty business. Additionally, he is an aviation management lecturer at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, as well as the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

Szymon Uczciwek Head of FSM Product Management and Consulting, Comarch

Szymon’s area of expertise covers field service and workforce management applications for telecoms, utilities, finance and asset management, the Internet of Things applications, and business and operation support systems for telecommunications. With his experience in mobile technologies and the Internet of Things he brings value-focused, measurable innovation to service provider processes.

Witold Cegła OSS Chief Analyst, Comarch

Witold Cegła is CM and Reconciliation Framework Product Owner in Telco OSS department at Comarch. Having prior experience in T-Mobile PL network optimization team and many years of work in Comarch OSS transformation projects for E-Plus and Telefonica, his expertise areas are performance and configuration management integration. Being Product Owner his interests are focused around real time network inventory, network automation, SDN integration and Zero Touch Network Management.
